By accessing the website at https://acua.qcri.org (later referred to as “Service”), you are agreeing to be bound by these terms of service and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained in this website are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

2. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on the Service for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

However, certain third-party service providers, such as providers of analytics services including YouTube’s Terms of Service, Google Analytics’ Terms of Service, Google’s Privacy Policy, Facebook’s Terms of Service, TikTok’s Terms of Service, LinkedIn’s Privacy Policy of Service, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies (YouTube’s Terms of Service, Google Analytics’ Terms of Service, Google’s Privacy Policy, Facebook’s Terms of Service, TikTok’s Terms of Service, LinkedIn’s Privacy Policy of Service) so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers. In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. The Service also enables linking between various online third-party services, including YouTube, Google Analytics, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn (“Third-Party Services”). To take advantage of these features and capabilities, we may ask you to authenticate, register for or log into Third-Party Services through the Service or on the websites of their respective providers and, if applicable, allow you to configure your privacy settings in that third-party website account to permit your activities on the Service to be shared with your contacts in your third-party site account.

Once you leave our website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

It is Qatar Computing Research Institute's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our website. Accordingly, we have developed this privacy policy in order for you to understand how we collect, use, communicate, disclose and otherwise make use of personal information. We have outlined our privacy policy below.

We will collect personal information by lawful and fair means and, where appropriate, with the knowledge or consent of the individual concerned. We will collect and use personal information solely for fulfilling those purposes specified by us and for other ancillary purposes, unless we obtain the consent of the individual concerned or as required by law.

We will protect personal information by using reasonable security safeguards against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

The Service follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this as part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

In addition to log files, the Service uses cookies to store information on visitors’ use of the website. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in your web browser that allows the Service or a third party to recognize you.
